Satellite IP Services

When it comes to providing event broadband, WiFi, webstreaming or any other satellite IP services Links Broadcast have the tools and the talent to deliver flawless, reliable connectivity - wherever you are and whenever you need it.

Broadband and IP Services - KA Satellite links

Our fleet of Ka band equipped satellite trucks provide on the spot broadband and IP services to support your entire internet based requirements in the field. These KA satellite links can be delivered in conjunction with standard video transmission via one of our SNG units or as a simple stand-alone facility for IP services.

Augmented by a GSM 4G router to enhance bandwidth in areas with mobile network coverage this robust and cost-effective solution delivers all the connection you need for mobile IP services and applications.

Broadband access via temporary WiFi hot-spot

Using high-powered WiFi routers our satellite & SNG trucks provide a fast, versatile temporary WiFi hotspot for the use of production personnel on site. This highly resilient link can also be easily extended to more distant locations, using our fibre system, to further enhance your temporary WiFi connectivity.

File transfers and dedicated services

By optimising the KA satellite links bandwidth we are able to guarantee upload speeds for critical applications such as video file transfers or graphics applications - enabling you to carry out regular production and post-production activities in even the most remote locations.

IP Based Communication

Our Comrex Access IP communication system offers the equivalent of a 4-wire ISDN service via broadband. This provides a high quality audio link at a fraction of the cost of a temporary ISDN installation, quickly and easily. Access to the system is achieved by direct Comrex-to-Comrex link or by dialling in to our dedicated ISDN portal.

Our versatile Comrex system also offers VOIP applications for DEL connections and standard telephony activity, providing you with a reliable alternative to avoiding mobile network congestion or loss of signal at a critical time.

Web-casting & Event Webstreaming

IP encoded video content is delivered direct to the web via our Ka band satellite links at a fraction of the cost of traditional Ku video transmissions. Live webstreaming of your events is both quick and cost-effective with a choice of encoding options. In addition your live webstream and can be delivered directly to a CDN for distribution to your online viewers. • Jo, Damon et al,

Just a line to say thanks for all your efforts on Sunday. I really do appreciate the top service we received and the hard work that went into coordinating the project. Our client is very pleased.

I can't imagine working with anyone else and if I don't speak to you before have a great Christmas.

  • Hi All,

Just wanted to say that I had a debrief this morning with MTV following the 2017 EMA’s. They were really pleased with the service that they received on site, and that Mark was “brilliant”!

It didn’t go unnoticed either that he jumped in to help out the BT engineers with their set up, all very much appreciated J

Thanks again for all your help (as always). There were a lot of eyes and pressure on this given that it’s MTV UK’s flagship event, but the technical delivery on the night couldn’t have gone better.

Looking forward to seeing most of you next week,

    All the best,

    Jack Braybrook | Arqiva
